Intensive Spanish Language Class (3 hrs.) After taking a brief entrance exam and oral interview with a Spanish professor, students are placed in small groups according to their previous level of Spanish fluency, their ability to communicate, and their interests. We subscribe to the "Group 5 System" in which no more than 5 students are assigned to a professor. This guarantees that our students receive the attention they need and encourages interaction among the group. This class focuses on 4 main skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Latin American or Grammar Courses (2 hrs.) This is a flexible option that allows the students to choose from an assortment of classes in the following areas of study: Art, Business, Education, History, Latin-American Studies, Linguistics, Literature, Political Science, Psychology, Religion, and Spanish grammar.
Cultural Lectures, Idiomatic Expressions or Conversation (1 hr.) This component is designed to improve students' listening and conversational Spanish Language skills and cultural awareness by corrected discussions on topics like holidays, festivities, and family life.
Students are encouraged to compare and contrast their own culture with their experiences in Mexico. Students are taught idiomatic expressions that will help them interact and better understand the culture in which they are immersed.
Optional Classes The Center for Linguistic & Multicultural Studies offers several optional classes in the afternoon at no extra cost. These classes provide additional enrichment and better understanding of the Spanish language. Classes range from pronunciation to advanced grammar and/or conversation workshop. Once per week you may also request a session of individual attention in grammar to work on areas of need. Classes are available Monday through Thursday from 2:20 PM to 4:00 PM. Functional Spanish (1 hr.) The purpose of this class is to put into practice your acquired knowledge both in and out of the classroom in a daily context such as in the home, school and social settings, while becoming acquainted with Mexican culture and every day life. We provide different activities such as Mexican songs, idiomatic expressions (slang), and discussions of music, movies, and popular culture.
Conversation, Field Trips, and Intercultural Activities (2 hrs.) During the 2 hours of Spanish Conversation Workshop, students can practice their skills in communication and pronunciation while interacting with Mexican high school students in a variety of activities of mutual interest like games, handcrafts, and the like. Students will also have the opportunity to take part in field trips and other activities to expand their cultural experience.
Specialized Vocabulary (2 hrs.) During the 2 hours of Specialized Vocabulary the student will learn Spanish language skills so that they can effectively communicate with their Spanish-speaking clients, students, patients. According to the students needs.

Half Day Excursions Full Day Excursions Weekend Excursions Students will visit Mexico’s most famous port and stay in a four-star hotel to enjoy the warm, beautiful, calm beaches of Acapulco and its vibrant night life. You will have the chance to see the world famous cliff divers and see beautiful sandy beaches. The Center for Linguistic & Multicultural Studies offers computer labs with high speed internet access. This is the easiest way to keep in touch with friends and family, and also keep up with the news while you are in Cuernavaca. The lab is open during school operating hours. We also offer access to our WiFi network. So, if you have a laptop computer, don't leave it at home! There is WiFi access at hotspots all over our University. Immediate medical attention is available without charge Monday - Friday ( 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. ) . The clinic is staffed by a public health nurse during these hours. NOTICE: MEDICAL CARE AND MEDICINE IN MÉXICO ARE NOT FREE. Be advised that Universidad Internacional is not responsible for payment of your medical care, hospitalization, or surgery. There are excellent medical facilities that will accept your credit card with payment deposit required upon admission. The attending physician and cashier will prepare reports and receipts for your respective health insurance company. Physicians will not deal directly with any insurance company. Coffe shop. There are cafeteria services on all of our campuses where students can purchase snacks, sandwiches, soft drinks, yogurt, and other items during their breaks. There is also a restaurant on our main campus for students looking for a larger meal. Library. Our University library houses many reference books that our students are free to review. Also, there may be textbooks that can be checked out for in-class use. There is a small deposit required to check out books. This deposit will be refunded when all books are returned.   Bookstore There is a bookstore on our main campus where students can find text books, notebooks, pens, pencils, souvenirs, and other items.
